Chronology in the banking sector

  1. Takeover of Crédit Industriel et Commercial en Côte d'Ivoire (CIC) - (French bank)
  2. Acquisition of Barclays Bank (Côte d’Ivoire)
  3. Creation of SGI Atlantique Bourse, which will later become the investment bank "Atlantique Finance".
  4. Creation of GIE Informatique which became Atlantique Technologie SA in 2007
  5. Creation of Atlantic Financial Group (AFG), a bank holding company for Banque Atlantique subsidiaries in West Africa.
  6. Creation of Banque Atlantique subsidiaries in Benin, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, Togo and Senegal.
  7. Creation of Atlantic Financial Group Central & East Africa (AFG CEA), a bank holding company for Banque Atlantique's subsidiaries in the CEMAC region.
  8. Acquisition of Amity Bank in Cameroon (now Banque Atlantique Cameroun (BACM)) Merger of BACI/COBACI to create Banque Atlantique Côte d'Ivoire.
  9. Creation of ABI in 50%/50% co-ownership with the Moroccan group BCP. ABI (Atlantic Business International) is since 2012 the holding company of Banque Atlantique subsidiaries in West Africa.
  10. Sale of the majority of ABI to BCP (BCP: 65%/ AFG: 35%).
  11. Creation of Digital Business Solutions (DBS), an entity in charge of financial inclusion solutions (in partnership with the IFC).
  12. Acquisition of new subsidiaries and consolidation of the Group in West and Central Africa (BICIM, BICIG, BICC)

    Partnership with O3B/SES to provide Internet access Creation of Atlantic Future Technology AFT SA (Ivory Coast)

    Creation of the Atlantic Future Technology Niger (AFT Niger)

    Creation of Atlantic Future Technology Mali (AFT Mali)

    Start of construction of the SCCI cement plant (1,000,000T/year in Abidjan, IVORY COAST)
  • 2020

    Start-up of the SCCI cement plant (1,000,000T/year in Abidjan, IVORY COAST) Start-up of the cocoa processing plant in Kribi, ACC (48 000T/year in Kribi, CAMEROON)
  • 2021

    Takeover of the assets of the company CIMOD (1 MT/year, COTE D'IVOIRE)
